The Scottish Accessible Housing Network (SAHN) unites organisations and people working to ensure every disabled person in Scotland has a home that meets their needs. That means they can access all of it, and any aids or adaptations are fitted to the highest standard.
We do this by:
- Supporting the provision of local, user-led housing advice, information and support.
- Offering peer support, training and knowledge sharing with user-led disability organisations to enable them to help with housing problems.
- Joining together to influence national and local policies relating to accessible housing, aids & adaptations. We want to see an increase in supply in all tenures plus building regulations that ensure every new house is, or can be easily made, fully accessible.
- Supporting SAHN member organisations to be more effective, raise their own standards and share best practice and innovation.
